MY LITTLE TIP was snapped up by the MLT team after a very impressive breeze at the Goffs Doncaster sales. After a steady start, he showed a clear dislike to the rattling quick firm ground (as did his father!!), but picked up nicely once in his rhythm to show blistering speed from the furlong pole to the run out (19th fastest from finish post to run out from 151 runners).

After his first four runs at the track he went on to complete an amazing run with a quick fire hat-trick at Salisbury off 67 (9 lengths), Yarmouth off 74 (3.25 lengths) and then at Catterick off 87 (by 0.75 lengths)

So far in 2022 with a new mark of 92 he ran a stormer from a wide draw at Chester but fluffed the start at Royal Ascot in the Britannia!

Belardo (Timeform rated 126) was the Champion 2 year old colt in Europe in 2014. After winning on debut easily, he then went on to win the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes, Newmarket, Group 1, (7f. beating Kodi Bear and Smuggler's Cove) and also won the Denford Stud Washington Singer Stakes, Newbury, Listed, (7f beating Hawkesbury and Diaz).

At 3, he was 2nd in the Qipco Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, Ascot, Group 1, (to Solow) and third in Group 2 Dubai Challenge Stakes, Newmarket, Group 2, (to Cable Bay).

At 4, he won Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes, Newbury, Group 1, (8f. beating Euro Charline and Endless Drama), the Betway Doncaster Mile Stakes, Doncaster, Listed, (7½f beating Calling Out and Custom Cut), second in Queen Anne Stakes, Ascot, Group 1.

At stud, Belardo has had a stunning start and was the leading freshman sire in terms of Group wins. His juveniles included Group 2 Rockfel winner Isabella Giles and two further Group 3 winners.

The dam is How Sweet It Is, who is a full sister to Sweet Cecily who won the Bosra Sham Listed Filles race at Newmarket for Richard Hannon. She has thrown 4 runners to date with two winners, including Critical Data, a 10,000 GNS foal who later sold to race in Hong Kong for 115,000 GNS after obtaining an official rating of 90 (a/w) 88 (turf).

Good luck MLT Club members, we hope you enjoy the ride!
